Advocacy and Awareness

Meduni has been raising awareness and advocating for Armenian issues in the United States in collaboration with AAA and ANCA. Moreover, we raised public awareness among communities in Diaspora and in Armenia Including local.

  • In April 2019 Meduni UMSI hosted the City Of Smile Armenian Charitable foundation in the United States. Leaders of Meduni and the City Of Smile foundations, were hosted in the Congress Hall and met with congressional leaders of the Armenian caucus including Congressman Frank Pallone, Congressman Adam Schiff, Congresswoman Anna Eshoo and Congresswoman Jackie Speier.

  • Fundraising dinner gala with over 300 guests, including the Deputy Attorney General Mr. Rod Rosenstein and Mrs. Lisa Barsoomian Rosenstein, philanthropist and advocate of Armenian issues Mrs. Annie Simonian Totah, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the United States Varuzhan Nersesyan, Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, Georgetown University Professor and the Keynote speaker Samir Khleif MD., PhD, and others.

  • Awareness raising campaign for colorectal cancer in Yerevan Armenia which included The Minister of Health of RA Anahit Avanesyan, The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of RA  Zareh Sinanyan, Head of Oncology Department at Yerevan State Medical University Dr. Gevorg Tamamyan, Director of National Oncology Center of RA Narek Manukyan, Administrative leaders of 62 major public and private hospitals, and other distinguished guests. 

  • Raised $150,000 in cash and in-kind donations to save children battling cancer in Armenia.

Our goal is to equip Armenia with modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities and provide access to affordable medication and treatment solutions.
