Hospice and Palliative Care Center
Our goal is to establish the first advanced hospice center in Yerevan. This self-sustaining comprehensive palliative care facility will provide care, comfort and professional help for those facing incurable diseases. The facility will provide care services for Armenians battling cancer and other chronic diseases, and the center will serve as a training hub for healthcare students and professionals with a focus on hospice and palliative care principles.

Approximately 5,000 people die annually from cancer, many in excruciating pain

Meduni UMSI's objective is to establish an Advanced Hospice and Palliative Care Center in Yerevan. It will be a free-standing facility designed to provide hospice and palliative care services for Armenians dying of cancer and other chronic diseases, thereby reflecting superb international standards of excellence.
A solid team of experienced healthcare managers, oncologists and palliative care specialists will utilize a full range of state-of-the-art medical equipment and technologies, plus an electronic record management system database housing patient treatment history.
